The Keeper ... a natural alternative for women

The Keeper

Finally ... a healthy and economic alternative to tampons and pads. A wonderful product designed and manufactured by women for women.

In recent times there has been much medical debate about tampons and TSS ... Toxic Shock Syndrome, the rare but serious condition associated with the use of tampons. Just like a cigarette packet your tampon packet comes with a warning as well as a leaflet describing the dangers of TSS. They need to supply a magnifying glass to read it.

Well now there is no longer any need to put our health at risk using disposable tampons or sanitary pads ... no need to expose your vagina to the bleaches and glues used, or risk Rayon Fibre or dioxin absorption.

The Keeper is a soft menstrual cup manufactured from natural gum rubber which does not absorb or disrupt the natural acidity or moisture levels of your vagina. It is shaped to be comfortable and designed to be discreet and convenient. The Keeper is recommended for wearing overnight.

This is a wonderful little product which will change your life for the better. It enables you to go about your daily activities without being inconvienced by your period, and it's a real benefit if you are the sporting type.

As well as looking after your body, The Keeper is also better for the environment as it eliminates the waste created by disposable tampons and pads and the manufacturing of these products. It has been estimated that an average woman may use up to 11,000 tampons in her lifetime ... with all the plastic and cardboard packaging that's many large mountains of waste !

How to use The Keeper

Fold the rubber cup and insert into your vagina. (lubricate with water only) Rotate the cup to make sure it is open and positioned correctly. It is worn low like a tampon and it needs to be positioned so that the cup slants to the back and the trim tab is near the front. The tag is there to help you locate The Keeper not to pull to remove it.

To remove, push down with your inside muscles, gently squeeze the base of the cup to release the seal, slide out carefully and empty. Rinse well with water and reinsert. While you are showering remove the The Keeper and give you body a rest. Wash The Keeper with sea salt and warm water (not boiling). Scrub gently around the edges with a soft tooth brush.

The Keeper is so comfortable you may forget it's there so remember to empty the cup - depending on your flow. It can be worn over-night without the risks associated with tampons.

At the end of your period The Keeper can be stored in draw string bag provided.

Handy Hints

Try The Keeper for a while and if you discover the tag is uncomfortable you may need to trim the tag. Always leave the tag atleast one cm long from the end of the cup.

While you are in the shower is a great place to practise removing and reinserting The Keeper

What to do when using a public toilet or if you do not have a tap in your toilet room.

Simply use dappened paper to wipe off or use a water bottle to rinse well before reinserting. Take a dampened paper towel into the cubicle with you to wipe your hands if in a public rest room.

Like anything new it takes a little time until you have become proficient at using The Keeper. No more worries about using tampons and the associated health concerns and think of all the money saved which you can spend on things more important than disposables. Remember - money spent on disposables is money 'down the drain'.

The environment will breathe a sigh of relief

Order your Keeper today and feel the relief.
